Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Chachapoyas

A transportation service awaits your arrival at the Chachapoyas Airport and will transfer you to your hotel. On the way, theaccompanying guide will inform you about the attractions the town has to offer and assist you along the way.

Day 2: Chachapoyas – Gocta Waterfall – Chachapoyas

After an early breakfast, begin your day with a transfer from Chachapoyas to the GoctaWaterfall, the third highest waterfall in the world reaching a towering 770 metres tall. The hiketakes us across mountainous forest with a wide variety of fauna and flora, such as monkeys, toucans, orchids and giant ferns. On arrival, take the time to admire the amazing natural spectacle offered by the waterfall as the water cascades over the towering cliff and enjoy a picnic lunch at the bottom of Gocta before returning to Chachapoyas.

Day 3: Revash – Chachapoyas

In the morning, transfer to the imposing fortress of Kuelap, the main archaeological site of the region built by the Chachapoyas culture around the year 500 AD. The site contains 505 enclosures distributed in diverse levels – its imposing walls reach 600 metres long and its architecture shows its function as a formerly inhabited space. The fortress is located at 3,000masl and to reach it, board a modern cable car that takes you to the complex in just 20 minutes. After, transferto the town of San Bartolo from where the walk of approximately 30 minutes to the Revash mausoleums begins. Revash is a funerary complex composed ofchullpas, funerary towers of one and two levels, painted an ancientochrecolour. The visit lasts around 40 minutes after which you head back to Chachapoyas.

Day 4: Depart Chachapoyas

A transportation service will pick you up from your hotel in Chachapoyas at the established time and will transfer you to the airport.
